st. james gate dublin

that's me, straight up colourful !

it was nightmare getting up this morning.
thanks to St. James Gate Dublin. heh.
No Black Tie was awesome, albeit without any live band.
jazzy music with a bunch of good friends. priceless.
i think i've fallen in love all over again with middle eastern cuisine.
i still can't stop thinking about how good it taste.
Kapsa Chicken was marvellous ! way way better than nasi beriyani.
not too mention the chicken was cooked just nice, not too soft, not too elastic either.
surprisingly i spent only half an hour to pack all the stuff for tomorrow.
could be better, will challenge myself with 15mins next time.
i've seen the most funky x'mas tree so far, the one in Westin Hotel.
you find no traces of trees or whatsoever but only disco balls and metallic fabric.
i kinda like the funky-ness of Westin hotel, from its wall to its toilet in each room.
the Internet connection is bad. heard it will go on like that for the next 3 weeks.
some said the flood will hit KL pretty soon. although my hse was pretty on the hilly side.
but i am still pretty worry about it.

James Brown- R.I.P.

I-D magazine : it says 'take it easy'

got to know about the bad news only this morning.
i'm not a HUGE fan of him, but yet i think it is a great loss for the music scene.
i keep playing 'play that funky music white boy' today, kinda cheer you up a lil.
everyone that i have to deal with in work is starting to go on-leave.
so i'm just basically clearing some really really old backlog job.
tomorrow will be the last working for me for this year.
taiwan has another earthquake which had killed 2 people so far. sad.
some said it actually affect the Internet connection today.
but i thought the connection here is always fuck up.
cant wait to get out of the country but i hate to do the packing.
thank god i can travel lightly this time.
the gluttony in me is thinking of salted chicken and lion head (minced pork ball with salted egg york filling)

guts : lost and found

Dwayne, brilliant performance !
the yellow colour that captivated me

finally i put my guts together and went for the medical check up that was dued 2 yrs ago.
results will be out in one weeks' time.
the physical test and stuff looks fine. i was quite happy about that. :-)
anyway i was told that i should maintain my current weight compared to 2 yrs ago where i weighed 1.5kg more.
the doctor said my current weight is healthier.
hehe, but by getting rid of 2kg from now i will look better in any clothes. so vain !

all these festive seasons is nothing but another reason for you to get wasted or lose your mind for a while.
i would say i had a great time, especially with friends back from overseas.
recollecting some missing pieces here and there.
maybe i should repharse, another reason to get together.
so glad to see them after so long, although i'm damn worned out after all that party.

people are so uncertain about everything.
uncertain whether to start something.
uncertain after starting off something.
i'm happy for while, then i'm not.
then i think alot. then i don't know where my thoughts are bringing me.
but the rule-of-thumb is : i always follow my instinct.
my instinct is telling me something else this time.
i'm a bit confused now.
i hate these kinda feelings.
i would like to be experimental.
however, i am definitely wiser this time.

i watched Little Miss Sunshine the other day. i've got mixed comments about it.
some said is an over-rated movie, some said is good.
i would say it is good.
especially Dwayne. that kid can act, no shit.
Olive is adorable as well. she is good too, but Dwayne is just way better !
how they play such a heavy topic in such a light way is magnificent !
i like the part where they have to run with the vehicle in order to get in.
the best scene i think is where Dwayne found out that he cant be a pilot anymore.
he gives an impactful performance for that. bravo !

watched a bit of Ed Wood and Nightmare Before Christmas the other day.
i hate it when i can't concentrate for a movie.
i hate it when i can't finish the movie at one time.
it spoils the flow of it tremendously.
i feel like i'm destroying the hard work of everyone who puts up a good movie.

fun fun fun & fun

merry christmas to every single living being there !!! to the worms living at the rooftop, to the cockroaches in the kitchen or the rat that stay running around the houses which pass by my house occasionally and to the mobile clothes rack which takes up the responsibility of supporting my clothes when the first wardrobe runs out of space.
that 2 songs that bunga dropped still linger in my head now. still couldn't figure out the title, is an old and nostalgic song. argh !!
i can't wait for this tonight - MYLO & Klaus Heavyweight Hill

MYLO- Myles MacInnes A 1999 graduate of philosophy, psychology & physiology at Brasenose College, Oxford, Mylo quit studying for a philosophy Ph.D at UCLA to return home and produce music. He released his debut album, Destroy Rock & Roll in 2004. only one album and he has made himself big in the scene. genius.

Klaus Heavyweigh Hill is a bona fide stalwart of the London breaks scene. As part of 2Sinners (alongside Carl Hovland) he has delivered tracks for labels such as Distinctive, Botchit & Scarper, TCR and Ministry Of Sound. As the Heavyweight, his material has appeared on Bedrock Breaks, Mob, as well as giving the remix treatment to James Lavelle’s UNKLE project, Jakatta, DJ Sneak, Atomic Hooligan and the Beastie Boys. not that i'm a big fan of breakbeat. but this guy is worth checking out.
but why do they have to put two big names on the same night. i think i still have enough time to duplicate myself for tonight. i better get going then.

see everyone after the ho ho ho thingy k. enjoy yourself to the max ya !

sugar honey pumpkin sweetie pie vs baby pumpkin goo goo black berry laced with cheese and hor fun pie . hahahaha, need to work harder on my copy. i miss out the local touch like hor fun. maybe i should include kuih, gula melaka next time.

gloomy

why must this morning be so gloomy.

why must all private party (esp those held at the latest club in town, on a fine saturday night and what's more - by a tobacco company ! ) gave you lame premium. the funny cushion/pillow really look so lame in my car. after the hottest club in town. i hop to a spit-away club a.k.a clubs with the most number of rich brats in town. i always try to avoid that club, i just don't feel right in there.guess what, i have encounter the most luensui (wasted+drunk) pick up move ever ! it was another classic for me. haven't seen people so drunk yet so wanna pick-up gals.
is there a book called : Dummy for how to be an Ah Beng/Lian ? is good i stuff my brain with it before i go to places like that.

someone tried to punk'd me last night pretending to be a taxi driver

taxi : turun sekarang, teksi ade kat bawah (pls get down, your cab is here)
me: huh, saya tala order teksi la (i didn't call any cab)
taxi : you nama xxxx, your hp numbor xxxxx (your name is xxxx, your hp number xxxxx)
me: tapi saya memang tala order teksi la (i really didn't call any cab)
taxi : eh jangan main-main la, lu cari makan gua pun cari makan jugak, cepat turun gua mau pigi sembahyang lepas ni, lu tak pigi KLIA pun tak ape, i boleh hantar gi LCCT. (don't play a fool, i'm earning a living here, so do you right? it's ok if you don't wanna go KLIA , I can send you to the low-cost terminal)
me: saya memang tak call teksi la, sorry la. (sorry dude, i really didn't call any cab)
he kept saying the same thing like don't play a fool la, i wanna go for prayers
i hold the phone away and carry on with my treasure hunt (i was in a dvd shop that moment).
his last line was CLASSIC
taxi : ok, gua naik atas cari lu sekarang. (ok i'm going up to your place to look for you now ! )

1. the number is a familiar number.
2. i know almost all the call-a-cab number that is reliable in town. none starts with that area code.

3 minutes later. my mum called. i was thinking, fuck, don't tell me there really was a teksi driver at my door. thank god. my mum called me for something else. phew !
i carry on with my treasure hunt.

half an hour later. my friend called.

friend : eh, lu ade call teksi kah (did you call for a cab)
me: i knew it was you. i knew it la. who's that guy la, he really sounded like a cab driver
friend: he is my creative director la
me : he did a good job, his malay was really pasar (rough) , but his last line betrayed him cause cab driver won't bother to look for you la, they will just swear at you and they will leave. and dude, i knew that is your office number la.

both laughing like mad after that.

the treasure hunt ended up with 4 dvds. one of it wasn't what i want. how i hate this. semua itu prank call punya pasal la, until i didn't check my check out basket.

Josh for Black Book

The Hustler photographed by Cass Bird
i prefer the second one because he doesn't look so refine in there.

ponder this

Valerie wears Chanel Cruise Collection 2006/7
Sunglasses Chanel Eyewear

"Only the minute and the future are interesting in fashion—it exists to be destroyed. If everybody did everything with respect, you'd go nowhere." -Karl Lagerfeld

is that time of the year again

BEST issue of all XXL, to me at least

reading this, not a jamie bell fans though

everyone is thinking hard what to stuff inside that christmas socks, for the christmas party. i find buying present is harder than doing any physics or additional maths (note: i used to be a pure science student, and my favourite subject that time is physics). everyone has to draw a name from the box and the name you get will be the person that you have to give the gift to. mine wasn't too hard. is a very girlie colleague. problem solved !
it was a emo moonshine. mellow to the max ! until the last band, but it didn't kick things any further. the 1st band actually sang a STP song. what STP again , thank god is not interstate love song, again.
during my lunch yesterday, a mother was scolding the son badly, both were eating. the poor son is about 8 yrs old. his body was kinda shaking all the time ( i'm not sure if he's born that way or it was due to the scolding). he was swallowing his food but i doubt if he could still taste the food. the mother is a 30+ lady with very short hair, high-pitched voice. i cant help but listening to what she was scolding(coz it is kinda loud, and you know how squeezy it was in ikano's uncle lim). she went over and over again scolding the same shit (the son went out with some dude that she disapproves of ).

1. can't you scold after the meal ?
2. can't you scold at home ?
3. can't you just scold once , since it's gonna to be the same thing ?

at the same time, i tried very hard to recall my childhood. did my mum do that to me ? i can't seem to recall anything. i was an obedient gal. but i do remember her holding a cane and chased me all over the house. i'm still dreaded at the fact of raising a kid, to educate him/her is the most difficult task.
i bag XXL (with Tupac on the cover, it has been 10 yrs since he left us, i'm as happy as a bird when i found it) and Wonderland (picture above, nothing about jamie bell, i just wanna check out how dope is the mag, an UK mag)
the paddington's all-day-long breakfast is quite dope (but i had it for dinner, heh), with pancakes, sausages, ham and hash brown. the hash brown kinda rock so much harder than the golden arch's one.
i've been thinking lately of revamping my make-up kit. i've been using the same colours of the same brand for a few years. i think is high-time to change my look. wanna get some new colours e.g. electric blue, acid yellow, shimmering maroon, shimmering mushroom brown. i guess i could only get them from either MAC or Make Up Forever cause i've bag whatever glam colour i could get from Shu. and i hate matte colour. straight up dull. alright , that will be in my NY reso list.
happy weekend everyone !

periodical sufferings

argh. that thing is haunting me again. i purposely treat myself a nice lunch today with the silly hope that it will kick the pain and cramp away. it doesn't work that way. half way through stuffing the noodles into my mouth. i feel like puking. the stomach is bloating so badly that i think by barely breathing it could blast off anytime. damn. there goes my favourite special wanton noodle from seed cafe.
i watched the Wizard of Oz last night. it was kinda awesome. so many hidden philosophical substances. i think i need to watch it again and again to get all of them.
a heart is not judged by how much you love, but how much you are loved by others.
if i ever go looking for my heart's desire again, i won't look any further than my own back yard, because if it isn't there, i never really lost it to begin with, is that right ? this is the last line in the movie, but to me it is the most impactful ones.
sometimes we just wasted so much of our precious on unnecessary people & places.
the costumes in they caught my eyes, is so fashionable, you won't find it out of place even if you put them on now. classic !
scarecrow, tinman and the cowardly lion - i luv all the 3 of them. they are everywhere. people without brain, without heart, without courage ! i have all the three and i'm working towards a way to utilize them better.
good and bad witches are easily differentiated in the movie. i wish it works that way in real life.
my dinner was resorted to a sinful yet heavenly-tasted chocolate cake from Mandarin Oriental. thanks to my sis. it tasted so good. my sweet tooth has gone worse. 24/7 i'm thinking of this cake, that ice cream and etc etc.
i kena taruh (scolded) from my friend today for not picking up calls. i think there are some air to be cleared here. firstly, you call me from an unknown number, secondly, i never want or plan to ignore you in any way. get it ?
people are talking about x'mas plans. all i want is good food and good company. simple as that.
hoegaarden sounds good to me. heh.

my to-download-list for tomorrow:
Clipse—Hell Hath No Fury
Peter Bjorn and John—Writer's Block
J Dilla—Donuts
Grizzly Bear—Yellow House

tomorrow will be a better day, because it is thursday, is a 'laundry' day, the 'moon' better shines brightly so i could get my party clothing ready for the havoc weekend ahead.

resurrection

it is my grandpa's birthday today, so the whole state of Selangor get a day off. horray!unbelievable. i was just so semangat to watch movie over the weekend. here's the list :

1. amores perros - the last story is the best of all. more twisted ending. we are living in a pathetic dog-eat-dog world. sigh. however, due to the fact that i am not a dog lover, so those brutal scene involving the dying dog doesn't really eat into me that much. cold-blooded huh.

2. magnolia - awesome. story was good, songs are good. fucking Aimee Mann, what more could you ask ? the song wise up was my favourite ' is not going to stop, till you wise up'. tom cruise's performance is kinda breakthrough. philip seymour as well. he is always good. in every single movie. i kinda like the story about the junkie gal and the cop. nothing surprising but yet it managed to get your attention.

3. millions - quite a fairy tale, challenge your imaginations. songs in there are so brit la, what to do, brit movie. money is the root of evil. in the last part, they have the deceased mother talked to the kid, i find it lame. is like every single movie do the same shit. all the time. i know mother is a symbol of love and care. but can't you use some other equally symbolic element ?

4. bad educations - is like a one-man-show of gael. i think he did pretty good there. can someone tell me why spaniard are on the short side. especially male. look at gael and fabregas (arsenal ). guess god is fair after all !

5. life aquatic - wes anderson rocks !! what i like most in there is the electronic tune , so old skol and so low-fi. and how they play sigur ros towards the end , and how they modify bowie's song, brilliant ! not forgetting my favourite uncle - bill murray, with his dark humour ,especially the part when they went to hotel citroen and rescue the ransom.

6. art school confidential - movie with a lousy ending, i think joel moore is stealing the limelight there. anjelica houston is there as well, the art history lecturer. she is fucking cool la, you will definitely agree with me if you've seen life aquatic before. she must be very pretty back in 20 yrs ago.

7. deja vu (in cinema) - pretty interesting storyline. they throw you with lotsa rocket science theory like the space and the time. how these two are connected etc .... with a typical hollywood ending which is - happy ending. hero managed to save the world and he didn't die. you know that kinda thing. adam goldberg kinda caught my eyes in there. i think denzel should hit the gym more often, the chest is passable. but the tummy. a bit off.

8. last but not least - Tupac the Resurrection. i've this thing for him, among others. even before i watch this movie, i listen to his songs, i read his entry in wikipedia. i dunno why but i just feel like knowing more about him. the movie is his biography with him doing all the talking. he used to be very quiet in his childhood, he wrote a lot of poetry. i think that's why he could wrote 3 songs in a day alone. lyrics, rhyme and stuff. he passed away at the age of 25 . this east coast and west coast thing really kill him. his music is immortal. that's for sure.

all dvd courtesy of my mighty-movie-freak sister ! her collection went triple-up after her trip to Bali. the dvd there are as cheap as rm3 per piece. and lotsa foreign movies as well.

that was a brilliant goal by essien. bravo chelsea, at least beat the shit out of arsenal. now is 5 pts behind the old trafford trash. hehe. i'm listening to the klaxons. no joke they are good. their music is in-genre-able. that's what i like i guess.

Heatherette

my favourite, among the rest

one of my favourite brand. founded by Rich and Rain in 1999.

Richie Rich hails from Northern California and began his professional career training with Kristi Yamaguchi to be a competitive ice skater. Following being nationally ranked, he joined the Ice Capades and toured the world, all the while studying in the wardrobe closet. Ultimately he was brought to New York City as one of Michael Alig’s “Club Kids” and continually worked as a personality in New York's hottest clubs, simultaneously embarking on a career as a recording artist; eventually releasing club hits "Magic" and "Collision." Richie combined skills he picked up along the way as an Ice-Capader/Club Kid/Pop Star and found himself in the midst of the fashion world, where he will surely remain for many years to come.

Traver Rains grew up on a ranch in Montana competing in numerous state and national horse shows. Known for his amazing skills and panache, Traver won over 100 all-around titles. Like Richie, Traver was in need of great looking wears for his performances and began designing and sewing his own vests and chaps. Traver received a degree in Economics and International Business from SMU in Texas and, on a whim, moved to New York City. Traver found his way back to the stables and while working as a horseback-riding instructor at New York's Chelsea Piers met future business partner Richie Rich and the duo almost immediately began collaborating. Traver brings his love of the West and his understanding of business to Heatherette.

The pair has created Hello Kitty couture, crafted sequined and studded mini dresses for Shirley Manson and Paris Hilton, neon, tattered tees for Pink and Justin Timberlake, and crafty, one-of-a-kind looks for David Beckham, Alicia Keys, and Britney Spears.

i couldn't include all the runway pictures here. so i picked some of which i think is the best among the best. the duo is active in the NY socialite scene. The former cowboy and infamous club kid made their name in fashion, and made a big-time success.
so nothing is impossible. as long as you put your heart and soul in doing it.

Imitation of Christ

nothing about religion.

The brand was founded by Matt Damhave and Tara Subkoff in the year 2000.
former art students Damhave and Subkoff presented their first show in an East Village funeral parlor. They designed four collections together, often infuriating editors with their theatrical, political shows (one season, they demanded money from guests and donated it to charities), while simultaneously intriguing them with beautiful clothes.
For a time, Chloë Sevigny was the line’s creative director. Damhave and Subkoff had an acrimonious split in 2001.
Subkoff, who dropped out of Parsons, continues to design the line while working as an actress (she’s appeared in many films, including The Notorious Bettie Page, When the Bough Breaks, and American Pie).

Shattered Glass

caught this in one the of pre-bedtime-channel-switching.
i usually do it in the following sequence - starts from channel 70-71-72-40-41-42-90-91-92-18-17-16-33-32-31-30. haha, kinda whacky rite.
so things stopped at 41 that night cause the i caught the name Chloe Sevigny. right on !

This film tells the true story of fraudulent Washington, D.C. journalist Stephen Glass (Christensen), who rose to meteoric heights as a young writer in his 20s, becoming a staff writer at "The New Republic" for three years (1995-1998), where 27 of his 41 published stories were either partially or completely made up. Looking for a short cut to fame, Glass concocted sources, quotes and even entire stories, but his deception did not go unnoticed forever, and eventually, his world came crumbling down...

hayden plays the role of stephen glass, the journalist. he puts up a good show. i used to see him in star wars swaying the lightsaber thingy. he looks abit nerdy in there, with glasses and proper office attire. chloe is his colleague in The New Republic, a young and smart journalist. she is a decent girl in there, no vintage clothing, no smokey eyes or stuff. nothing much to shout about for her performance in there.
what i like about the movie is to know about its ending. (note: i couldn't finish the movie due to some contingency events that happened ) the last scene i watched - stephen glass was fired by the chief editor - chuck lane (played by peter sarsgaard, good actor!)
the rest is mysteries to me.

the movie tagline says : Read Between the Lies

journalist is highly respected and paid in the US. they are many brilliant journalist waiting to become famous but the journey to fame requires lots of sacrifice and hardwork. stephen tried to take a short-cut by fabricating a hot topic during that time which is 'hacker'.
when you have begun to tell the first lie, you need a second lie to cover the first lie. then you need the third lie to cover the first & the second lie. the cycle continues indefinitely and you will end up in an abyss of lie.

so try not to lie. especially about your work and professionalism. nobody likes to live in fear, doubts and denial.
if you dislike people lying to you. you must not lie to others in the first place.
i'm sure everyone knows about this simple rule and truth in life.

right ?

Six Feet Under

Claire's artwork - a miniature of her house.
i guess i don't have to do any intro on the HBO series.
i kinda lost track for a few seasons, watched the final season second last episode the other night.
i can't believe Nate is dead. he is the soul of the whole thing.
everything is so mellow there, esp the songs they play in that particular episode. the funeral song is Knockin on Heaven's door, Claire grieved on Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway (note: i never liked this particular song cause the radio plays it too much, but when you played it at the right time, things changed).
also Nirvana's All Apologies. i liked the scene when the song is played - flashback memories when Nate was crying in his room on the day Kurt Cobain killed himself. Claire asked if he's ok, he said he's not. he drown himself with weed. and ask Claire to join him.
while i was watching the show, i decided that :
i want to pick my own funeral song. (no james blunt for sure)
i want to write my own poem for my funeral. (basically in my case the poem will be a simple one and with names of the people who own a place in my life and heart.)
here's the one at Nate's funeral
Our death is our wedding with eternity
What is the secret? "
God is One.
"The sunlight splits when entering the windows of the house.
This multiplicity exists in the cluster of grapes;
It is not in the juice made from the grapes.
For he who is living in the Light of God,
The death of the carnal soul is a blessing.
Regarding him, say neither bad nor good,
For he is gone beyond the good and the bad.
Fix your eyes on God and do not talk about what is invisible,
So that he may place another look in your eyes.
It is in the vision of the physical eyes
That no invisible or secret thing exists.
But when the eye is turned toward the Light of God
What thing could remain hidden under such a Light?
Although all lights emanate from the Divine Light
Don't call all these lights "the Light of God";
It is the eternal light which is the Light of God,
The ephemeral light is an attribute of the body and the flesh....
Oh God who gives the grace of vision!
The bird of vision is flying towards
You with the wings of desire.

PAPER

some of the cover that i heart
MAGGIE CHEUNG !!!

donut is the dope shit !

Doughnuts have a disputed history. Danish sea captain named Hanson Gregory, during a particularly violent storm, Gregory needed both hands free to man the wheel of his ship, and impaled a fried cake upon the wheel spoke, creating the signature hole. The centers of fried cakes had been notorious for being undercooked, so the innovation stuck. By cooking fried cakes with the center hole, the surface area increased, and the doughnut cooked faster.

donut vs bagel
The hole in the doughnut exists so that it cooks faster and more thoroughly, while the bagel's is there such that it can be retrieved without mishap from boiling water. Touché.

It is without a doubt one of the most distinct and recognizable iconic foods of North America, right alongside hamburgers, it also shares a slightly more negative symbolism as doughnuts are very often a representative food for America's overeating and overweight problem.
It is an especially popular food in Asia, where on-the-go foods have been becoming incredibly successful due to the generally fast paced life of the working class of the eastern continent. The American company Mister Donut was acquired by a Japanese company, and the brand no longer exists in the US.

you may regard this entry as a big-time nuisance , but who cares !
nothing can stop my passion for the ring-dough with lotsa lotsa sugar on it.
mister donut is the most delicious donut i have ever eaten in my life. it contains less sugar and the shape and varieties made me jump up-and-down blissfully !
i had my fix the other day here in Dunkin Donut. is it me or what? it used to taste better. sigh.
wish i could go to Taiwan again for Mister Donut, or go to Indonesia for Krispy Kreme.

Chloe Sevigny

I am most proud of my integrity and least proud of my cynicism."

Chloë Stevens Sevigny (born November 18, 1974) is an American actress. Her late father has distant French ancestry and her mother is Polish American.
She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Boys Don't Cry (1999), which gained Sevigny international attention and strong critical acclaim.
Sevigny is also famous for starring in a string of independent films and for being an It girl throughout the 1990s.
Her first movie role was playing a teenager infected with HIV in the independent cult film Kids, as well as Gummo, The Brown Bunny and Party Monster.

she is an icon. in fashion, NY downtown, art, movie - anything cult. she holds a transgressive character. you see nothing surface about her. everything is in her blood. she said this: "I try not to act, I try to react. That's what they say, you know. Just react to what the other person is saying to you, and be there with the other person".

Miro

Joan Miró i Ferrà (April 20, 1893December 25, 1983) was a Catalan-Spanish painter, sculptor and ceramist born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. His work has been interpreted as Surrealism, a sandbox for the subconscious mind, a re-creation of the childlike, and a manifestation of Catalan and Spanish pride. In numerous writings and interviews dating from the 1930s forward, Miró expressed contempt for conventional painting methods and his desire to abandon them (in his words "murder","assassinate", or "rape" them) in favour of more contemporary means of expression.

just some of my favourite of Miro, he has a massive collection of painting. another genius. enough said.

a bit of this & that

Monday was crap, so I decided not to write any stuff. Coz it will turn out to be shitty. I had been laying low for the weekend, yet I still experienced the Monday slump, is like body and mind disorder. You were at work but your body and mind were somewhere else. I’m not gonna dwell on it further. Basically my point is shitty Monday will always last till the end of the day, no joke, unless you strike the lottery or stuff like that)

Woke up feeling energetic, (that’s the case every Tuesday, Monday is shitty but Tuesday I feel like I could do the work for the whole office). It was bit dramatic at work. I was given a task by my Ricebowl to run some of the personal stuff. It took the whole morning to accomplish due to some major hiccups in between. (by right it should have just taken one hour) the hiccups is in a sense that you cant do anything in between, you cant bring your laptop along, you cant do your paperwork , etc. the only thing you can do to kill the time is making phone calls.

What I was trying to say is, simple things could be complicated sometimes and vice versa. Right so after that I decided to reward myself with a decent lunch. As usual before I hit the dining place I will pass by this Indian magazine shop. They have plenty of outdated magazines selling at dirt cheap price. I bag this

XXL
Shape
I-D fashion
Details
Paper

Paper, is quite a gem to me. Is not as good as NYLON, although both are originated from NY. The reason I bagged was simply because they have Chloe Sevigny on the cover, pale face with very very minimum makeup. However the art direction and layout in there was slightly better than the ordinary fashion magazine, the styling was pretty daring as well, but yet to reach the iconic stage.

XXL was about hip hop, all the way. The advertorial is all about hip hop jewellery, hip hop drink endorsed by 50cents, hip hop liquor, hip hop sneakers, etc. Details is great, i kinda get carried away by men's magazines sometimes, you know how it feel when you are surrounded by the beautiful creatures of the opposite sex. besides, its subtitles caught my eyes – 40 best beers in the world. Heh.

If you think Parisian baked the best bread. Think again. The new Norwegian bakery in town is worth checking-out. They are friendly too; you can order something that is not on display. They will make that just for you. With their little touch of customization, e.g. more chocolate rice and chocolate topping. Heh. guess i'm too much of a bread person. rephrase. pastry person.

everyone is talking about the holiday on the 11th.

saturday morning

there's this constuction site next to my condo. fucking annoying cause they work from 7am everyday no fail. unless you are damn KO, or else they will work as the most reliable alarm clock. 7am on saturday & sunday morning. thanks alot dude ! since i woke up so early, went and check my Soulseek. at least something to be happy about. all the songs were dl successfully. All Saints' new album kick-ass ! for a while i really thought they are no longer cutting anything. but at last they give us some good shit. those new gal group fr UK like citizen kane are kinda lame. and not HOT also. why ? the choons dj premier dropped the other night still linger in my head, after more than 48 hrs. where could i get them all ? he showed us what is the real hip hop shit. neat stuff. shall waste another few hours of my time diving into every single corner of the internet to dig at least partially of the choons.
